In recent years, many scholars have launched the mythology research work, massive valuable research results emerges. But relatively, mythology researches around teaching are few, especially middle-school mythology teaching research.This dissertation summarizes the different definition and classification of the mythology in today's mythology educational domain on the basis of the mythology's education function. There hasn't been an authoritative conclusion to the mythology definition until now. According to the characteristic of the middle-school mythology article, a mythology definition and classification which is suited for the middle-school teaching has been brought forward. The necessity of mythology study from the values, the esthetic demand and philosophy ideation has been elaborated. Through investigating, statistic and analysis of the mythology article in three kind of edition language textbook about middle-school teaching, some suggestions on mythology article and mythology teaching have been proposed.Make the mythology's educational function more effective to different age students is the key of this dissertation. On foundation of well understanding about the different physiology and psychological characteristic between Junior school students and high school students, a suggestion ,that more attention about imagination, association and the correct values should pay to in junior school mythology teaching, and more attention about Philosophy ideation should pay to in high school mythology teaching, has been proposed.Make the mythology article and mythology teaching helpful to cultivate the high school students'Philosophy ideation ability is the difficulty of this dissertation. Mythology is the source of philosophy, both Chinese mythology and foreign mythology contain massive philosophy thought. In present, high school mythology teaching is stressed on old Chinese mythology and not helpful to cultivate Philosophy ideation ability all-sided, a suggestion that more foreign mythology should have in high school mythology teaching was proposed.
