College students, as the most important community of each country, are in the period of personality rebuilding. Because of the great changes of college students'living situations and interpersonal contact environment, we should pay more attention to college students'living standards and their interpersonal trust in the university. Therefore, it is necessary to study the general situation of the college students'subjective well-being. Meanwhile, during the course of interpersonal contact, one's attitudes towards human nature presents in interpersonal trust; individuals who have great trust can cooperate well with others. If students have high level of subjective well-being and interpersonal trust, they could keep their psychology healthy, and take the advantage of personality traits to achieve greater success.By the comparison of college students'subjective well-being and interpersonal trust under different cultural backgrounds, this research enriches theory of cross-cultural psychology and developmental psychology, provides academic and practical proof for college education and supplies valuable suggestions for college students'full development.On the basis of summary of definitions and studies of subjective well-being and interpersonal trust, we analyze the two items in details among Chinese, British, German and Japanese college students through The General Well-being Schedule and Interpersonal Trust Scale to find whether they differ from each other in these two aspects and the reasons of differences. Through this research, we can draw the following conclusion:1. There are marked differences on subjective well-being among Chinese, British, German and Japanese college students. 2. The subjective well-being of British college students is much higher than that of the other three countries; Japanese college students'subjective well-being is significantly lower than that of the other three countries; there is no contrastive difference between Chinese and German college students.3. There are notable differences on interpersonal trust among Chinese, British, German and Japanese college students.4. The interpersonal trust of British college students is much higher than that of the other three countries; German college students'interpersonal trust is significantly lower than that of the other countries; there is no contrastive difference between Chinese and Japanese college students.5. There is a close relation between subjective well-being and interpersonal trust among Chinese, German and Japanese college students; British students have no close relation on two items.
