| In this paper, the discussion begins from motivation source of consciousenss initiation, leading the problem of ego consciousness. This paper refers that it is the existence of ego consciousness that makes human beings have subject initiation, which realises the derivation of animals and human beings.In the first part of this paper,general problems of ego consciousness has been discussed, which lays a theoretical basis for talking about college students's ego consciousness.In the first part of this paper, the concept of ego consciousness has been discussed detailedly in view of the history, refers that ego consciousness is formed and developed in the process of social practice,serves as the subject of individules'conditions of body and mind,activity and the relationship between the individual and outside world, as well as the then-caused feelings and behavior tendency. The ego consciousness is the core of personality and a comprehensive psychological system, and it can also regulate the mind and behaviors of people.The second part and the third part serves as the heart of this paper, perspectively discussing several key problems concerning ego consciousness of college students. From the perspective of percetion of self, self experience and self control, the features of college students'ego consciousness has been discussed, significantly discusses on the rules of derivation and conbination of college students'ego consciousness, as well as discusses the elements that affects the development of ego consciousness. The third part talks about the cultivation of ego consciousness from a totally new perspective. The author reveals all kinds of details of cultivation of ego consciousness,expecting to give a hint to ideological and political education and mental health education. To some degree, the reseach of college students'ego consciousness is not only the mental perspective of ideological and political education, but also the core field of mental health education, and personality education.
