The Study Of Chinese Current Female Awareness

The thesis, based on family sociology, female sociology and other theories concerned, focused on thewomen in Changchun, makes a further study on present female awareness.Gender awareness is a new concept, which was put forward in the UN Fourth World Conference onWomen, which was held in 1995. After being accepted, it shows its deep connotation and denotationglamorously, and gives out a more reasonable and scientific pattern of constructing harmonious relationshipbetween women and men. With further development of open-up and reform and gradual perfection ofsocialist marketing economy, China joins in global economic integration with a new look. Economictransformation and framework innovation, not only make women gain the opportunity of sustainabledevelopment, but also face women severe challenge. Although most of the women have realized theirindependence in economy and made great achievement in politics and education, they haven't yet reallygained their freedom and independence in spirit, which lies in female discrimination existing in differentfields distinctly or indistinctly. When we examine the society by means of the microscope, genderawareness, we can find many well-known phenomena, which are against the promotion of position inwomen, which seriously holds back our social harmonious development. Nowadays even though oursociety has tried its best to provide equal rights in politics, economy and education for women and men,women haven't freed themselves from restrain from male social power. If they wanted to attain the realequality with men and shows their value existing in the world, they would burden the pressure from maleworld. And also it is slow for them to change the social ideology and social discourse order.The thesis makes a careful analysis under the guidance of gender awareness theory, with the idea of theequality between men and women and the basis of connotation and denotation, combined with a lot of factsand existing bad social phenomena. Its purpose is to strengthen the female awareness, break the rule ofsetting the fixed gender judgment, and take on a new look of autonomy consciousness promotion. And alsoit seeks the way to guarantee and promote the women's position, makes clear its sources resulting in genderdiscrimination, and finds the solution to solve the problems, finally to contribute greatly to constructingsocialist harmonious society.The thesis is divided into three parts: Introduction, Body and EpilogueThe Introduction introduces the current study in the field in the academic circle.The Body:The first part (Chapter One) gives a description of the background, its significance, the definition ofconcepts, the study review at home and abroad and the study method.The second part (Chapter Two) illustrates the current situations and existing problems about femaleawareness.The third part (Chapter Three) finds the solution to strengthen the female gender awareness andpromote the women's position.The Epilogue draws a conclusion and advocate that the gender differences should be given enoughrespect to construct socialist harmonious society.
