1 Main ideaHow to guarantee and ensure the quality of higher medical education hasbecome the focus of higher medical education reform and development research.The qualification and ability of teaching staff in higher medical institutes is oneof the significant factors concerning the educational quality. The researchinvolved is arousing increasing concern. However, most are about "what weshould do" including the principles and requirements of teacher training. None ofthem has conducted an empirical research based on the educational theory ofhigher medical school teachers and teaching skill training. We hold that weshould conduct a systematic and in-depth empirical research on the educationaltheory of higher medical school teachers and factual situation of teaching skilltraining, which exposes the major problems and puts forward the strategies ofintervention and orientation and should be of important realistic and theoreticalsignificance.The research is based on the teaching staff from six medical schools. From anextensive literature review, we devised three questionnaires, surveyed theadministration, consulted experts and teachers. The research is conducted fromfour perspectives: the influence of working condition towards the educational theories and teaching skills, the environment and atmosphere of educationaltheories and teaching skills from the institute, the channels of teachers attainingthe educational theories and teaching skills and the basic situation of teachersacquiring the educational theories and teaching skills. With the questionnaire andconsultation from experts, the paper presents an objective description of thecurrent training of educational theories and teaching skills in higher medicalschools, reveals the major problems, and provides an explicit resolution to theproblems and intervention strategy. The research group finally have the results ofthe research reviewed by the experts and conducted the consultation concerningthe research, which obtained agreement and support from the majority of experts.2 Purpose of research2.1 By investigating three different levels of teachers:teaching manager,ordinary teachers and professors, depicted the current situation of teachingtheory and skills of teachers of medical colleges;2.2 Analyzed the main problem existed in the training of teaching theory andskills of teachers in colleges from several angles;2.3 Studied and discussed strategies of how to solve the problems of training ofteaching theory and skills of teachers in medical colleges;2.4 Tried to set up an effective system of teaching theory and training content.3 Object of researchThe object of this research are all the teachers from 6 medical colleges. Inorder to avoid the disturbance of change of staff and the time of participation inteaching, and to reflect the relationship between teaching theory and training, theobject of this research must be teachers who are currently taking teaching tasksin recent 3 years (at least twice). According to the standard above, teachers inone universities who are suitable are nearly 300, and totle nearly 1800. In order to sure the qualification, we choose 20% in all the object to research.4 Research methodIt takes the methods of document investigation, questionnaire,brain-stormand study on the spot, making university questionnaire, professionalquestionnaire and teachers questionnaire of investigation of current situation ofteaching theoretical skills and training mode of teachers in medical colleges, anddoes a research into the problem from 4 aspects.On the basis of questionnaire and statistics, combining document reviewand professional consultation, it discusses main problems and strategies ofteaching theoretical skills and training mode of teachers in medical colleges.5 Result of research5.1 Analyzed the main problem existed in the training of teaching theory andskills of teachers in colleges from several anglesBy making the survey among the administrative officers, common teachersand teaching experts, we found 6 problems in high medical education of teachingtheory and skill: we pay little attention on teachers; lacking system of thetraining; lacking the efficient carrying out the training; lacking communicationand guider.5.2 Studied and discussed strategies of how to solve the problems oftraining of teaching theory and skills of teachers in medical colleges;Solve the conception; constitute policy and ensure of system; establishtraining system; strengthen the basic teaching function; reinforce the differentlevels of administration and training of organization; promote the teaching study.5.3 Tried to set up an effective system of teaching theory and training content.Synthesizing the literature and expert's consultation, and considering ourconcrete situation, set down 13 parts of this system. They are career plan of teachers, quality, teaching theory, leaning theory, how to make up a subject, howto design a class, how to evaluate the teaching quality, how to developeducational studying, how to make example for students, how to improve theteaching ways.6 Innovation and Features6.1 As an empirical research, the paper presents a scientific review and analysistowards the factual situation of the educational theories and teaching skillstraining from various perspectives.6.2 The research chose six medical schools, conducted a high qualityquestionnaire and consultation among experts, objectively exposes the currentsituation and major problems, and establishes the specific intervention strategyand frames of traing.6.3 The research group have the results reviewed by the experts and conductedthe consultation, which obtained agreement and support from the majority ofexperts and preliminarily proves the result scientific and reliable. The researchprovides a reliable and practical intervention program for higher medicalinstitutes and has good value of popularization and imitation.
