A Study And Investigation On Physical Education Course Reform In Higher Vocational Colleges In South Jiangsu

Nowadays, a new round of physical education reform has been carried out in education sector in China. As South Jiangsu belongs to the economy developed area in China, physical education in higher vocational colleges there really plays the role of representative. The writer uses ways of datum, interviews, questionnaires to collect, collate and analyze the physical course reform in South Jiangsu. The writer compares the result of investigation with the "Guidance Program for Teaching in Physical Education Courses of General Colleges and Universities in China"issued by the Education Ministry, points out the advantages and existing problems based on the analysis and discussion on the results of investigation. Higher vocational colleges can not only plan training teachers, but also improve knowledge structures, capacity structures as well as Degree Levels of them. Furthermore, higher vocational colleges also have a systematic and reasonable curriculum evaluation. Meanwhile, the students also change their attitudes a lot to physical courses with strengthening their awareness and behaviors on physical courses. In addition, higher vocational colleges in South Jiangsu need to update teaching concept, put more investment on physical education, improve conditions in playgrounds and sports facilities, create a good atmosphere of physical training on campus so as to cultivate students'sense of physical education and behavior, strengthen the training of students'lifelong abilities and promote their overall comprehensive accomplishments. They need to improve physical education course system, strengthen its development while focusing their attention on flexible, innovate course contents and create their own characteristics of the physical education in the higher vocational colleges. Furthermore, they need to strengthen the construction of teaching staff, improve their overall academic abilities, institute a whole set of training, competition, and incentive mechanisms, and construct perfect administration systems and regulations. Teachers are creative in organization and teaching methods so as to ensure the reform of physical education course.
