College physical education is an important component of the University Sports that should take the initiative to meet its reform and development. As the core content of college P.E. its curriculum must also carry out reform."the National College P.E. Curriculum Teaching Guide","the curriculum standards of sports and fitness"and many Related documents promulgated by the Ministry of Education, which promote the reform and development of the University of Sports in China. In the overall goal of the same premise, the current curriculum shows the development of a multiple model, Education Thought as"together but not the same"was reflected by Simultaneous with curriculum's binding and flexibility.Based on curriculum theory by Tyler, this article surveyed the status quo of the Public P.E. curriculum of 7 colleges in the South of Jiangsu Province in curriculum target, curriculum content, curriculum implementation, curriculum evaluation. This research is focused on the Public P.E. curriculum of 7 colleges in the South of Jiangsu Province. Several research methods have been employed, such as reference, questionnaires, mathematical statistics, logic, comparison, etc., to study and analyze the public P.E. curriculum in these 7 colleges according to the teaching program, course offered, P.E. teaching, teaching conditions, etc. It also put forward some suggestions and solutions, which will benefit the establishment, development and improvement of the public P.E. curriculum in the 7 colleges both theoretically and practically.The results shows: The public P.E. curriculum has been well carried out according to the National College P.E. Curriculum Teaching Guide, which results in various models of the P.E. curriculum; the target of curriculum is clear which reflected sports concept by producers; Competitive sports are emphasized in the P.E. teaching. Gradually, leisure, fashion, and life P.E. items become part of the public P.E. curriculum. The same teaching contents are commonly shared by colleges as well as middle schools and primary schools. Little by little, the teaching time has been reduced continually. General teaching methods instead of modern ones have been applied to teach by most teachers. P.E. Study Evaluation System is expected to be improved and perfected. The age of teachers mainly ranges from 30 to 50. The minority of them are masters and doctors while the majorities are bachelors. Also, the proportion of professors is small, most of whom are over 50. Plans are not well made to provide teachers with further education. Most teachers go on with further study while teaching, who are expected to improve their foreign language and scientific research. The distribution of scientific research varies from one college to the others.
