Under the background which the information technology education developing rapidly but many questions need to be solved, it is very important that to investigate the of information technology curriculum and analyze them in order to dodge certain questions during next education process. The educational level of each area in our country is extremely unbalanced and the degree of information technology curriculum differs from one another, then the obstacle factors of it also to be different, therefore, investigation of them should have provincialism. Tong Liao is a representative medium developing city in Inner Mongolia, then to investigate the actuality of information technology curriculum and the obstacle factors of it will be significant to grope for the development mode of information technology education and to reduce the resistances of information technology curriculum in west nation-area of China.The thesis was divided into three parts:Firstly, on the basis of conditions of schools, teachers and students, the pre-test questionnaire of"Obstacle factors questionnaire of information technology curriculum"aim to investigate information technology teachers and students were worded out by the process of Richter Scale. With that the pre-test was done and its reliability and validity were analyzed, then some questions were deleted and some lie-detection questions were added in, so the quality questionnaire were worked out on the premise of the experts agreed.Secondly, questionnaire survey of obstacle factors of information technology curriculum was made for information technology teachers of Tong Liao senior high school and 200 senior high school students of two city classes and one rural class who were engaging in the information technology curriculum. Then the data from it was processed by factor analysis method and six obstacle factors were revealed from the teacher questionnaire and five from the student questionnaire.Lastly, eight obstacle factors of information technology curriculum of Tong Liao senior high school were educed on the basis of discussion for factors from teacher questionnaire and those from student questionnaire. Those were: information technology curriculum hadn't be valued, the new learning method was excluded by traditional concept, the professional ability of information technology teachers was little, at the same time their ability of use knowledge was abroad, their knowledge of evaluation and measurement of information technology curriculum was known little, the communion between teachers was ignored, some content of information technology curriculum were divorced from actual needs, and students'chances to use computer and network was so little etc. Then some corresponding advices aimed at the obstacle factors were given: firstly, the propaganda of information technology curriculum should be improved to strengthen people's recognition of it; secondly, conditions should be created to improve professional ability of the information technology teachers; thirdly, teaching material of information technology curriculum should be compiled elaborately and the content should integrated with practice; lastly, multiple ways of teaching should be adopted in information technology curriculum.
