A Brief Analysis Of The Current Situation Of College Students' Counselors And The Solutions

The college counselors act a role of doing routine management, ideological education, quality-oriented education, careers guidance of the students. What the college counselors do is closely bound up the growth and development of the student. The college counselors are the direct guides of the students, the direct vindicators of the common teaching order, and the direct organizers of the campus cultural reinforcement, the direct executors of the school spirit and study style construction, and the direct builders and boosters of the university spirit. As a result, under the new situation, implementing the CPC Central Committee and the State Council about strengthening and improving the ideological and political education for college students, strengthening the construction of the college counsels are very important for the development of the university.The thesis summarizes the current problems of the college counselors and their causes basing on the reference and the questionnaire. Meanwhile, it seeks the effective solutions. The whole thesis is divided into four parts as follow:First, it introduces the background of the college counselors' construction, expounds the research condition of home and abroad, and generalizes the significance of the research. Second, it introduces the theory connotation of the college counselors through the concept of the college counselors, the responsibility of them, and the history of the college counselor institution. Third, basing on the questionnaire, it generally knows the situation of the college counselors, and summarizes the common problems and their causes. Fourth, aiming at the current problems, it gives some suggestions that the university should pay attention to the college counselor construction and support it; the importance of the construction should be noticed; the target of the construction should be specified; to promote the level of endowment and ability by adopting effective measures; to insist to go forward on the specialty and profession road and manage the college counselors in this form; to establish long-term mechanism for the construction, to constitute the reasonable check-up system and stimulus mechanism, in order to provide organization system and policy supporting system, ensure the sustainable development of the college counselor construction.
