Inquiry-based reading in Chinese teaching and learning in primary school is one of the hot spots of current Chinese education revolution. Through studying the theory, teaching features and strategies of this way of teaching and learning, we know that students can decide and set up the learning target independently. The inquirers, on one hand, can have their interested questions to satisfy their inquisitiveness which they think important, and on the other, can notice and perceive the external information and create new knowledge structure according to precious knowledge structure.Students have free hand in creating questions and deciding inquiry target and intention by themselves. Teachers choose or design context skeletons which giving students some certain free spaces to create inquiry questions so that to change the intercourse practice model from monodirectional to bidirectional and conversational.As for the features and strategies analyze of inquiry-based reading in teaching and learning, I have made a series of changes on teaching activities by improving teaching methods and working mechanism so that teachers'way of teaching is more suitable to this teaching method. Here seven effective methods of work are summarized, such as establish new contact between families and school, attach importance to the interview or research before class, set up teaching resource package, make out the teaching plan, establish new evaluation forms of class, focus on the design of inquiry homework, strengthen reflection on teaching and learning.
