With the diversification of society development and the gradual advancement and deepening of educational reform, the survival and development environment of our high schools and primary schools has greatly changed. It has become a educational hotspot that whether the principal's reaction is proper and his orientation of main work is clear during the inside and outside multiplex intercourse as a corporate representative of a school. Meanwhile, we have paid great attention to how to realize and improve principals' communicative action and height his behavior efficiency.Based on relative literature, this thesis studies the communicative actions of the principals in high and primary schools in district D, City Z, adopting the way of case investigation, quantitative study based, and supplemented by qualitative investigation. The author has done questionnaire surveys towards 47 principals and 300 teachers in district D, City Z and case study has also been done towards two schools.In quantitative investigation, the author studies and analyzes the people, the place, the manner, the matter and the image during the principal's communicative action. The results show that: the people that principal contacts has become more and more complicated; the phenomena that the principal neglects communicating with the teachers but be busy with extracurricular social intercourse is a common occurance; Principals are firmly tied to the "official rank", and the practice of "education flavor" is weakening.Qualitative research is to carry out a tracking observation and interviews of the principals' communicative conduct in a week from two typical schools on the basis of quantitative study. Through facts, the author found that the different schools' principals have the common problems happened in quantitative investigation and also have difference in behavior, especially in the exchanges contents.Finally, based on quantitative and qualitative research, the author makes abstraction towards the existing problems in principals' communicative behavior. And also make analysis from the four aspects of the administrative system, social values and culture, principals' appointment mechanism, the personal qualities. Meanwhile, in allusion to research findings and analysis, the author put forwards three proposals and opinions from the administrative system innovation, establishment and improvement of educational management culture and the principals' self-quality.
