With the new course' s reform is carrying out in all of the middle schools, people' s awareness to the new course has been enhanced. As one of the three-dimensional course target, the new course' s process and method of physics in the middle school requires the students realizing the significance of scientific study by experiencing the scientific explore process, and mastering and utilizing the scientific methods to solve the problems, so as to promote knowledge learning, ability cultivation and improve scientific quality. The new course values highly to scientific method education, but many physics teachers are rather illegible in it. With regard to this situation, we will discuss the functions, regulations and strategies related to scientific method education in physics. It aims to offer reference for the physics teachers' teaching in the middle schools.The main contents of this article includes: summarizing the basic concepts of the scientific method education; defining the contents and target of scientific method education in middle school physics according to the new course target' s requests; summing up the main scientific methods included in the compulsory 1 and compulsory 2 of high school physics; analyzing the factors that influence middle school students in studying scientific method currently; raising stage principle of the scientific method education, principle of permeating and refining, principle of demonstrating and practicing, principle of making recessive education as a main means and dominant education as assistance, as well as suggesting target decomposition and comprehension strategy in scientific method education according to middle school students' cognizing characteristics and mental development level. It is emphasized that scientific method can be educated in explaining the physics knowledge, in carrying out the physics experiments, in talking about the physics history and in doing physics exercises.This article offers referential advice to the studies as contents, principles, strategies in scientific method education of physics teaching in middle school, to the physics teachers overcoming random, probability in scientific method education, defining the content and target of scientific method education, efficiently scooping out the implicit scientific method in textbook, searching efficient teaching strategies and ways when carrying out physics scientific method.
