Our country has experienced many curriculum reforms since the reform and opening up,and achieved fruitful results, in which the scientific method of education has always been animportant subject in educational research. To do a good education job of physics scientificmethod in the junior middle school physics teaching helps to improve the students’ scientificliteracy and also promote the overall quality of the whole nation. With the deepening of thecurriculum reform, people’s understanding of the new curriculum is enhanced gradually. Thecompulsory physics curriculum standard treats process and method as one of thethree-dimensional course target. The ultimate target of the new curriculum requires studentsto have the consciousness of using research method, and try to use scientific knowledge andscientific methods when analyzing and solving problem, which fully reflects the emphasis ofnew curriculum on the scientific methods. But many teachers’ focus on the scientific methodeducation is still insufficient in the process of teaching physics in junior middle school. Inresponse to this situation, combing the junior middle school physics teaching content and thenew curriculum standard, this paper carries on a thorough research on the scientific methodeducation theory, and also carries out the function research of scientific method education tothe realization of middle school physics new curriculum three-dimensional objective, all ofwhich provide reference of teaching practice for the junior middle school physical teachers,and further clarify the important status and role of scientific method education in theprocess of teaching.The main content of this paper includes: summarize the basic connotation of scientificmethod teaching; analyze the basic form and education form of middle school physicsscientific method; summarize the major scientific methods in the compulsory educationphysical textbook of Shanghai edition systematically; try to compile the two-way specification table of scientific content and scientific method by combining with therequirement of the new curriculum objective; analyze the meaning of scientific methodeducation to realize the three-dimensional teaching objectives--“knowledge and skill”,“process and method”,“emotion attitude value”.The compulsory education physical curriculum standard is the basic specification andquality requirement of our nation to the junior middle school physical course, which is alsothe chief baton of junior middle school physics teaching. By studying the significance ofscientific method education to the realization of new curriculum’s three-dimensionalobjective, this paper further highlights the advantages of scientific education in the qualityeducation teaching, it also provides the theoretical support of carrying out the scientificmethod education in the process of the junior middle school physics teaching.
