Study On Value Orientation Of University Students Choosing Vocation In Social Transformation Period

Nowadays, we are in a deep social-change period---the social transformation period. It causes not only the profound changes in the aspect of social material, but also the deep collision between the value of people and the ideologies and cultures of people, which affects people's impression of work, appraisal of the profession and the orientation of employment.The value orientation of choosing vocation is the guide and direction of vocational selection and the core of studying the employment selection of university students. Under the background of the social transformation, such as the change of economy system, the adjustment of industrial structure, expanding enrollment of higher education , the reform of employment system and the changes of value, whether university students choosing their vocation correctly and obtaining employment smoothly concerns the development of their personal undertaking ,the expectation of millions of family for the popularization of higher education, the effective allocation of national talent resources and harmonious stability of the society. Therefore, under such background of society transformation, we must pay attention to, think over, investigate, research and disclose the value orientation problems of university students choosing vocation and we should guide and cultivate their scientific views on employment selection, which are the internal requirements of solving the problem of the university graduates employment, and are the indispensable step to promote the harmonious society construction, too.Studies on the university students' value orientation of choosing vocation in the social transformation period include the research on 'Times' , the research on 'the value orientation' , and the research on 'the view of choosing vocation' . For this reason, the thesis does the research taking society transformation as the basic observation background and J university as the case of studying, regarding value philosophy as the basic theory and the value orientation of university students as the analysis frame.The thesis, firstly, analyzes the challenge caused by the society transition to the university students from the macro-visual angle. Secondly, it explains the content, type, structure and effect of the university students' value orientation and analyzes its orbit of changes and the form of value with the synthetic methods of literature research and investigation, from the micro-visual and longitudinal angle of historical development. Thirdly, the thesis, on the basis of the above analysis, explores the influence factors of the university students' value orientation and their value conflicts and choices when choosing vocation, from the horizontal visual angle and the different value subjects such as students, parents, universities, employing units, governments, under the plural value environment of observing multi-dimensionally university students choosing vocation. Finally, the thesis focuses on the necessary explorations on the value guidance of the university students' value orientation in the social transformation period. It also proposes reconstructing society leading values system under the visual field of 'Value return', 'tolerant' and 'human-oriented' value. In addition, we must think over and clarify how the university fosters university students' scientific view of choosing vocation, how to arouse the students thinking, let them make their positioning properly, and learn to choose and cherish their choices. Furthermore, the thesis pursues the problems of how to guarantee the value guidance from the angle of families, governments and enterprises.
