Full-time Compulsory Schooling Chinese Subject Standard (draft) issued by National Education Ministry in 2001 has categorized Comprehensive Study into the system of Chinese subject for the first time, which becomes organic part of the system together with "word recognition and handwriting", "reading", "writing" and "oral communication". Thus, it can enhance the association between Chinese subject, other subjects and life, and at the same time can wholly promote and develop the Chinese quality of students harmonize. So it is very necessary to study the theory of Chinese comprehensive study, to enhance the practical research. In this way, we can advance Chinese Comprehensive Study efficiently.The essay emphasizes the research into the Comprehensive Study of Junior Chinese in a practical way. Main contents are as follows:Firstly, Chinese Comprehensive Study has been defined on the base of the theory research. Chinese Comprehensive Study refers to the course of study during which students can adopt the methods of group study autonomously, can collect useful information, data through all kinds of media, can discover problems and make assumptions, can draw conclusions or find out the methods to solve the problems after co-operatively study, analyzing together with their fellows. Its nature focuses on Comprehensive and it has six characteristics: being, comprehensive, practice, opening up, exploratory, subjective and productive. Choosing the three implement principles as topics must be on the conditions of being Chinese Comprehensive and practical; Its implement must follow subjective, cooperative and exploratory principle; giving evaluation should be inspiriting all-around and in many ways. Evaluation can be classified according to the topics or the standard of activities.Secondly, the practice of Chinese Comprehensive Study is been researched and discussed in the essay. First, knowing clearly the aim of practice, namely realizing the subject requirements and improving the development of teachers and students. Second, we can work out the target of the practice, so teachers can set a target for the students development on the base of better understanding of Chinese Subject Standard and Comprehensive Study Target of Junior Chinese set by textbooks of People Education Press and the base of their teaching practice. Third, we can explore the subject resources to guide teachers fully find out study resources of Chinese near them, and at the same time developing study resources to broaden the field of Comprehensive Study. Fourth, exploring and discussing the practical strategies, namely, co-operative study between teachers and students, we can experience Comprehensive Study, and we can put our theory of Comprehensive Study into our daily teaching practice, and continuously practice our Comprehensive Study. Fifth, summarizing the practical course of Practical efficiency. We can find a surprising change in students because of Comprehensive Study. Finally, reflection of the problems in the practice is given in the essay.The essay aims at exploring the methods that how to carry out teaching of Comprehensive Study of Junior Chinese, offing proper and effective methods and strategies of how to develop Practical Research on Comprehensive Study of Junior Chinese. The purpose of the essay is to really achieve "Learning Chinese in real life", with the help of latest teaching theories and feasible strategies so that we can improve students' Chinese accomplishment in an all—round way.
