This study focuses on relationship between the job satisfaction, organizational commitment, perceived alterative employment opportunities, turnover thought and turnover behavior intention from a sample of teachers in private colleges in Jiangsu province. The paper also discusses how different individual employee attribute affects the above variables.The research adopts questionnaire survey methodology to investigate 169 teachers in six colleges of five areas. Finally it can be concluded as follows:Job per se and job involvement is the key factors which affect teacher's job satisfaction, and then affect turnover intention. Job per se and job involvement have positive correlation with job satisfaction. Teachers' vocational development and college's development have positive affection on job satisfaction. So, they will reduce turnover intention when private college's teacher with high satisfaction.Teacher's organizational commitment is composed of affective commitment, continuance commitment and normal commitment. According to the sample, normal commitment is the lowest of them, and its standard deviation is greater, it explains that different teachers have different ideas about normal commitment.Teacher's turnover intention is at low level, but alternative opportunities are at high level. The research doesn't find an obvious turnover intention of occupation. As a result, we should pay attention to the teachers and avoid turnover.Except job itself, job satisfaction and organizational commitment have positive correlation, organizational commitment and turnover intention have remarkable negative correlation, job satisfaction and turnover intention have remarkable negative correlation, so author comes to a conclude that organizational commitment is an intermediary factor to job satisfaction and turnover intention.The research finally makes some suggestions for private colleges and following studies according to the main conclusion.
