The curriculum reform of teacher education has been an international movement of teacher education reforms presently. The curriculum reform plays a key role in teacher education reforms, directly connecting to the quality and standard of teacher training and to the quality and future of the Chinese nation. As a result, it has great academic and practical senses to perfect the system of teacher education, by probing into the history of centenary development of the teacher education cuniculum in China, generalizing historical experiences and lessons, and investigating the problems in current curriculum reform of teacher education in China.The history of centenary development of the teacher education curriculum in China could be divided to four periods:â‘ inchoation of the teacher education curriculum at the end of Qing Dynasty;â‘¡establishment of the teacher education curriculum in early republic China;â‘¢reform of the teacher education curriculum by the Kuomintang government;â‘£reconstructing of the teacher education curriculum after the establishment of the People's Republic of China. The historical development of the teacher education curriculum is full of frustrations and flexures, not a plain sailing. There are both successful experiences and heavy lessons which you can learn from it.At present, the curriculum reform of teacher education in China has related to many aspects from policy to implement, aiming to realizing teacher professionalization, and has gained some achievement. However, there are still some problems in the curriculum reform of teacher education. According to these points, the curriculum reform of teacher education should be implemented based on ideal, institutional and operational levels, conforming to the international trends of teacher professionalization and founding on excellent traditions of teacher education in China, in order to realize the sustainable development of teacher education.
