In the 21st century, the Internet information is developing with high speed. And the Internet is playing an increasingly important role in the life of the college students. As an important component of the Internet, college BBS has a subtle influence on the thinking of college students. The appearance and prevalence of college BBS is both an opportunity and challenge to the ideological education of college students. All colleges and universities must adapt to the development of the times, and make full use of advanced network technology and education theory, and actively open up College BBS as an ideological education front. Having made full use of the characteristics and advantages of college BBS, we would see a great promotion of the college ideological education.The first part of this paper introduces the background of the study, the current situation and the method of this research, clarifies the related concepts, including college BBS, ideological education and also summarizes the main creation of this paper. In the second part, the paper explains the basal theory as the framework of this article, such as the "gatekeeper" theory, the co-figurative and the post-figurative cultural theory, and the theory on the interaction of the public sphere. In this part, the paper also explains the relevant mechanisms of the impaction to the ideological education of college students by the college BBS. In the third part, this paper lists the current measures that have been taken by the government as well as the universities. In view of the situation and relevant theory about college BBS and in order to promote ideological education of college students, this paper proposes several suggestions on the use of college BBS, such as to strengthen the construction of campus network and improve their safety and manageability, to establish and improve the management system, to improve network commentator selection system, as well as quality and the guiding effectiveness of the commentator, to establish a skillful team of BBS forum moderators, to promote the resolve of the issues which are reflected on BBS by students, to strengthen moral education and advocate network civilization and to strengthen the research of the influence and measures of college BBS to the Ideological Education of college students.
