| Modern prose take up a large proportion in Chinese text books .Teaching the modern prose becomes the key point in Chinese teaching. However, cultivating the abilities of reading and understanding is the keystone in traditional Chinese teaching, the ability of appreciation seems unimportant. In addition to the utilitarian purpose of passing examinations, there are many problems in prose teaching. People tend to attach great importance to analyzing and understanding, and ignore the int7uence of the whole body; they stress a lot on training and ignore enriching their feelings and they put emphasis in importing the so-called "standard answers" and ignore individual understanding.
