For a long period,the modern and contemporary prose,as the main genre of Chinese textbooks in high school,is not only the emphasis but also the difficulty of reading teaching.The point of reading teaching is the goal of teaching,the core is the teaching contents,and the main forms are the class activity and the question design.And the modern and contemporary proses in high school are often rich and profound in connotation.As a result,students need to understand the reading with meditation guided by their teachers.On the other hand,the appropriate questions are also the key to guide students to read deeply,and the design of the teaching question is particularly significant.The true and unique nature in contents and emotions,the free and graceful nature in structure and language,and the implicit nature in thoughts and emotions of the modern and contemporary proses selected for high school textbooks are reflected.However,there are mainly errors in text understanding,rigid teaching mode,misplaced teaching objectives and contents,and lack of real dialogue.Meanwhile,in the current prose reading teaching,the difficulties of question design are mainly reflected in many aspects,such as inordinate quantity,inappropriate difficulty,serial imbalance,lack of openness,ignoring the cultivation of students' question awareness,and inappropriate feedback to students' questions.This paper will explore the question design in the teaching of the modern and contemporary prose reading in high school.That is to say,effective question design must be based on in-depth reading of texts,clear teaching objectives and appropriate content selections,pursue the student-centered,teacher-oriented teaching philosophy,and emphasize the cultivation of students' question awareness.Besides,certain principles need to be followed,such as setting questions from different perspectives and entry points,paying attention to the simple and clear language questions during the implementation of the questions,and responding to students' questions in a timely manner and questioning to promote effective dialogues.The purpose of this paper is to provide some references for the question design of the teacher in prose reading teaching.
