The Investigation And Research Of Migrant Children's Education In City

Our country has been in the period of social and economic transformation since the reform and opening. Many peasants begin to migrant to city from countryside. They congregate into a special collective--migrants. The migrant children as the second migrants are growing up in the city with the tendency of family migration. So the compulsory education problem of them appears. A part of migrant children cannot study in the state-owned school because of domiciliary institution and family economic. And then many schools for migrant children come out. While,neither the condition nor education quality of these schools is inferior to that of the governmental's. The destitute migrants with low status and literacy can not supply good family education too. As it known,compulsory education is the foundation of the entire education system. It is not only for the individual development but also for continuous development of the society that children should receive equal compulsory education. The author reveals the compulsory education of the migrant children,analyzes the cause and puts forward to feasible suggestions through investigating the migrant school and family.
