Chinese educational circle has recently proposed a view that Chinese education should be transformed from "exam-oriented education" into "quality-oriented education" in order to meet the needs of the full speed development of times and that of socialist modernization with Chinese characteristics. Quality-oriented education emphasizes that each student is an individual who can work himself and has independent personality .More than that, it also emphasizes that education should treat "students" as the most principal part, as a result of which we should pay attention to the improvement of students -relied entity ,and then on the basis of that can we strengthen various kinds of students' abilities in all-round way, which is especially effective in respecting and giving play to students' activity and creativity. As far as sports' higher education in college concerned, educators should carry out the idea of quality-oriented education constantly and promote sustainable development of enthusiasm and initiative both from teachers and students in teaching.A kind of theory sprung up in the seventies of the 20th century called self-organized theory and it coincidently agreed with the trends of teaching theories' development. The self-organized theory can be illustrated as, if a system can get through a course of forming a structure of time, room or function successfully without being specifically disturbed from the external environment, we can then say it is self-organized.Here the "specifically disturb" means that the former mentioned structure or function is from the external world acting on the system by nonspecific way rather than imposition from the external world.The theory sums up the inner factors of the system as the motive force for the gradual development and evolvement progress. It matches the objective law of development and complies with the needs of the times when it is being applied into sports teaching, which I think perhaps some day will develop into a ripe theory or a practice system even then serve for the sports education.It needs five conditions for self organizing in a teaching course.The first one is "Opening-up"—the prerequisite for the development of tutoring system;The second one is "threshold value of self organizing" -- the essential condition for self organizing in tutoring system;The third one is "keeping away from the balance attitude" - -essential condition for self organization to take place;The fourth one is "non-linearly relevant" -the inherent mechanism for self organizing in tutoring system;Last but not least, it is "fluctuation" - -utilize the fluctuation and reach the mechanism in order.This research paper uses the method of referring documents and materials, questionnaire investigation, interviewing, experiment and Mathematical statistics. It tries to carry on an all round systematic research to sports major teaching in high normal college based on sociology, pedagogy, psychology with combining the method of the basketball professional teaching. It carried on an overall analysis on the key elements to teaching—teacher, students and teaching environment, which often influent teaching efficacy. It also made some systematic analyzing for some relevant theories of the self-organizing theory in order to apply them to teaching experiment. I hope the research conclusion be used into the basketball major course with referring the theory of self organizing.The result of study shows :1.The Contemporary university students are paying much attention to the improvement of their own abilities, which requires the school and teachers try their best to meet the demands of students in the course of basketball teaching in order to make sure 3 essential points. They are, the content of courses should match the times, the teaching goal should be comprehensive, the teaching method should be combined orderly and teaching assessing should be appraised comprehensively.2.In the students' integration capabilities indexes, the professional qualifications takes the greatest proportion .however, the creativity , expressive ,communitive and overall-analytical capacities are also very important draw from analyzing. In the course of teaching, we should create conditions to improve students' integration capability.3.The basketball major course can meet the conditions for forming self organization because the tutoring system is open; The system and external exchanges can reach the threshold value that self organizing needs; There are non-linear interactions among every key element in the system; There are non-equilibrium situations in the tutoring system; There are existences of the fluctuations phenomenon.4.The experimental results shows that it made furthermore help to teach with self-organizing theory rather than to do with traditional educational theory for students to master the basketball knowledge. It could also improve the students' ability of observing, analyzing and solving problem. What's more, it helps to wide students' creation thinking. The self-Organized teaching can also help students to adapt to the new working environment himself as soon as possible after they graduated from university, it meet the needs of times. In terms of sociology, students trained by self organizing method relatively changed greater in improving adaptive capacity.
