With the rapid development home and abroad in theoretical research on general self-efficacy, it becomes important to involve general self-efficacy into practical interpersonal communicative activities. general self-efficacy is defined as a global confidence in one's coping ability across a wide range of demanding or novel situations)。Interpersonal competence means individual psychological characteristics in the process of interpersonal activities to adjust mutual relation, effect communicative efficiency, guarantee activity quality, and achieve its goals.General self-efficacy not just refers to a person's behavior pre-valuation and assessment, but also directly influences the person's psychological functions in social activities. General self-efficacy functions on and influences behavior mainly through four mediums: the process of recognition; the process of motivation; the process of agitation; and the process of option. General self-efficacy is a kind of self-born ability, namely an ability to combine different skills into an ability to comfort to action. General self-efficacy, as a factor of psychological motivations, effects in the interpersonal activities acknowledgement, emotion, motives, attitude and so forth. Nowadays, it is rare to connect general self-efficacy with interpersonal activities. This essay launches a research on the concept of self-efficacy, its functions, influential factors, together with its working mechanism; the definition of interpersonal activity, its structure, and psychological mechanism, at the same time, makes a summary on current state and existing problems from general self efficacy and interpersonal activity. This essay also discovers the relation between general self efficacy and interpersonal activities among professional students, explores the differences in, on matter of general self-efficacy cf interpersonal activity , students of different genders, from different majors, grades, resources, family educational background; the possible connection between general self efficacy and interpersonal competence, therefore enriches the theory of self efficacy, studies the inclination of individuals, and the comparison between in china and abroad.Meanwhile, this essay can explore the estimation value of general self efficacy through interpersonal activity and mutual relations. This kind of study, which focuses on professional students' inside psychological mechanism of interpersonal activity, develops the theory of general self efficacy and deepens the study on human communication, furthermore enriches the relative theory of interpersonal communication and gives more theoretical support to professional education.This essay launches an investigation on 376 professional students of Chongqing City Management College with a questionnaire consisted of General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES), Human Relationship Comprehensive Diagnose Scale, mainly employing Independent . Samples tests, univariate variance, multivariate variance, multivariate regression analysis, and the main result is as follows:1 the overall level of professional students' general self efficacy is high and the mean score of male students is much higher than the counterparts.2 the overall level of professional students' interpersonal competence is high, and the remarkable differences lie in genders, majors, grades, students resources: female students are higher than male ones, art students are higher than science students, students from cities higher than ones from countryside, personal competence becomes stronger with higher grades, especially, juniors and sophomores higher than fresh persons.3 professional students' interpersonal communicational competence "talking with people" differs a lot concerning genders, majors and students resource: female students are higher than male ones; art students are higher than science students, students from cities higher than ones from countryside.4 professional students' communicative ability to make friends in society varies much concerning genders, majors and students resource: art students are higher than science students, students from cities higher than ones from countryside.5 professional students' communicative ability to make opposite-gender friends in society differs: female students are higher than male ones; students from cities higher than ones from countryside.6 professional students' general self efficacy relates most positively with interpersonal competence. Students with higher general self efficacy have higher interpersonal competence; students with higher interpersonal competence have higher self efficacy.7 General self efficacy relates most positively with interpersonal competence in talking with people and making friends in society, positively with communicating with the opposite gender, unremarkably with treating people.8 Different students with different efficiency have remarkable difference in the ability to talk with people and communicate and make friends. High efficiency students are higher than those with low efficiency.9 professional students' general self efficacy well evaluates their interpersonal competence. And it's true to their interpersonal competence.10 professional students' ability to make friends in society well estimates their general self efficacy ; while general self efficacy well estimates the interpersonal competence in talking with people ,making friends in society and with opposite gender friends.
