With the rapid development of science and technology and the prosperity of economy of modern society, it has brought a great impact on the value system of people. Under the open and diversified circumstances, people become more confused and perplexed in face of the collision of Chinese and Western cultures and intense conflict between traditional and modern values. Due to lack the sense of moral responsibility, many problems are increasingly emerging. Contemporary college students live in a complicated society, they are to be affected greatly. Therefore, how to lead and bulid up college students'values correctly and rationally, and how to cultivate their responsibility to recognize and behave responsibly and make themselves be responsible for their own lives, it has become an important problem that the educators have to be faced.The whole thesis is divided into five parts, the first part illustrates the connotation of responsibility and analyzes other concepts related to it. Furthermore, the author tries to define the connotation of the cultivation of the college students'sense of responsibility.The second part is about the theoretical basis of the research. From the angle of ethnics, philosophy and psychology, the author analyze the production of responsibility and the formation of sense of responsibility, and describe the present research status abroad and the inspiration to China.Based on the questionnaires, the third part mainly studies the present status of college students'responsibility and dissertates investigation results and the cause of the problems occurred.In fourth part of this paper, it explores the value of research on cultivation of the sense of responsibility to university students. Then it discusses the contents of the sense of responsibility education. The sense of responsibility education mainly include five aspect as follow, responsibility-to-self, responsibility-to-family, responsibility-to-others, responsibility-to-society, responsibility-to-profession.The last part of the thesis tries to find out the solution of the problems occurred in the investigation. The author put forward the approaches from three aspects, such as college, family and society, which will strength the sense of responsibility education to university students.
