In 21st Century, with the highly development of the technology of multimedia and network, the utilization of the network education has become one of the most important content in modern education reform. Network provides us many functions: the expansion of the multi-information on the teaching, exchange during the learning process, student's central status, multiple teaching methods, virtual teaching environment. These functions enable the teaching content expended, teaching environment open. The development of network teaching provided a enough good technology environment in college sports theory teaching. The above mentioned elements play important roles in spread of advanced sports thoughts, carrying forward excellent national culture, development the habit and the spirit to do sports all through life.At present, how to bring the superiority of the network to assist teaching to modernize the means in college sports teaching, improve the teaching quality and make the college sports theory teaching keep up with the pace of the development has become one of the major subjects in the field of normal college Physical Education.On the of the methods of materials and documentary, questionnaire, interview, teaching experiment, logical analysis and synthesis and mathematical statistics, this paper focuses on one academic year research on the network teaching on normal college tennis theory teaching, then draws the conclusions as follow:1. The network class of college tennis theory is effective to help the students to grasp the fundamental theory.2. The network class of college tennis theory is effective to help the students to improve the students'sport skill.3. The network class of college tennis theory enforced the practice of learner autonomy, adapted to the individual differences and realized the interchange and exchange between the students, therefore, improve the teaching quality.4. The network class of college tennis theory stimulated the students'interests, made the students enjoy the abundant information provided by the net, eventually developed the students'thoughts and habits of all through life sports.5. The network class of college tennis theory met the needs of the present reform in college physical education, so it is feasible and possible to operate and is easy to expend.
