Multiple Intelligence theory is a new theory of intelligence which was proposed by the well-known American psychologist Gardner in 1983. On the basis of observing and analyzing a large number of examples and experimental data of psychology, Multiple Intelligence theory confirms that the ways of human thinking and understanding of the world is multiple, and there is at least eight basic human intelligence, that is, linguistic intelligence, logical mathematical intelligence, musical intelligence, physical intelligence, space intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, self-awareness and natural observer intelligence. The above intelligence plays an equal important part when people understands and transforms the world. Multiple Intelligence theory, which breaks the traditional intelligent theory's limitation of only emphasizing linguistic intelligence and logical mathematical intelligence and expands the connotation of the intelligence, has played a huge impact not only on theory, but also on educational practice.Literally, in the eight intelligence of Gardner's theory, only musical intelligence directly relates to art, but actually, at least four intelligence is related to art. Linguistic - verbal intelligence, musical– rhythm intelligence, physical intelligent and visual - space intelligent all relates to art directly is the basic element of music, visual arts, literary and artistic creation, and other art forms. Besides, in the process of being used, all the eight intelligence could take out the outcome of the artistic thinking - creativity and expression.Under the guidance of the Multiple Intelligence theory , to the problems which exist in teaching of art appreciation in our high school, such as the surface analysis of the paintings, teaching content too far away from the students'living and studying background, not based on the ontology of art but with the low level synthesis of surface prosperous, and students'intellectual development comparatively single in the existing curriculum teaching, the author studied the specific operation processes of United States'" art promotion" project which is made under the guidance of Multiple Intelligence theory and the quality requirements of school-based curriculum in China, explore and implement two school-based curriculum on art -"the images of music" and "being close to great artists".The course of"the images of music"attempts to make use of a certain configuration between painting and music, tries to let students convey the emotion and spirits of the music in the form of painting and to inspire the students to master the subjective feelings of painting through music which is a very expressive artistic form. The school-based curriculum of "being close to great artists" tries to combine the art appreciation teaching which has long been split and lacked systems with painting teaching which has no apparent actual effect, after completing in-depth appreciation of each art masters, besides, tries to find the organic integration of language disciplines and art disciplines, to promote the development of students'language intelligence, space intelligence, interpersonal intelligence and self-awareness intelligence. In short, this paper tried to integrate music, writing and art through "write" painting, "listen" painting, "paint" music, focuses on the development of students'long- neglected multiple intelligences, aims to train students'art thinking and cultural qualities and practices the old saying"Israel's beauty is opened intelligently".This paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter studies in advance on the theory of multiple intelligence and the"art promotion"project which is based on this theory, analyzes the background, philosophy and the inspiration to the contemporary art education. The second chapter describes the main characteristics and the quality requirements of the school-based curriculum, and on this basis, explores the implementation of"the images of music" and "being close to great artists". To make a clear description of the two school-based curriculums, the third chapter is devoted to the detailed case and the teaching plan."The images of music" Case 1: from the "Pathetique" to "Medusa's raft" - Romantic painting interpretation,"the images of music"; Case 2: "Broadway Jazz" (Classroom recording Record), and the course plans of"being close to great artists". The fourth chapter describes the school-based curriculum evaluation under the guidance of the theory of multiple intelligences, and provides specific operating plans of using assessment of the situation instead of using standardized tests.
