The new round basic education reform puts curriculum management into practice on the three levels of state, local and school to improve the selection and adaptation of curriculum. This new change has made school-based curriculum a hot issue of the curriculum reform, even the education reform, of the 21st century. However, there are still some defects in the current construction of school-based curriculum: random and unsystematic curriculum development, unclear aim which does not give full expression to the tradition of running a school, and disorderly curriculum management wanting of practical results.On the basis of a case study on Yucai Senior High School this dissertation analyzes the practice of the construction of school-based curriculum aiming at Three-self teaching of this school and probes into management paradigm of the school-based curriculum suitable for the school reality.The dissertation consists of nine parts:Introduction tells how the issue of school-based curriculum aiming at Three-self teaching is raised, and discusses its background and the approach of the study.The first part is about the rational thinking on the construction and management of school-based curriculum. In this part some conceptions related to school-based curriculum and its construction are defined, and the necessity of its construction is analyzed as well.Part two is an environmental analysis of the construction of school-based curriculum in Yucai Senior High School, showing that the tradition of curriculum reform and its current interior and exterior environments lay a solid foundation for the construction of school-based curriculum in this school.The goals of Three-self teaching and school-based curriculum are discussed in the third part in which the objectives of education, the relationship between the aim of curriculum and that of the teaching are expounded, paving the way for the school-based curriculum which aims at Three-self teaching.The following four parts respectively discusses the development of school-based curriculum and its application, evaluation and management. Part four mainly analyzes the goal, principle and model of school-based curriculum aiming at Three-self teaching. Part five explores the principal forms of teaching organization and models of the school-based curriculum. Part six discusses the assessment of the curriculum, the teacher and the student. Part seven makes a detailed study of various school-based curriculums, including the management procedure, the allotment and management of the time of curriculum, the management of student and teacher, and the management of curriculum resource.The conclusive part summarizes the achievements and the defects of school-based curriculum aiming at Three-self teaching, and makes a prospect of the future study in this field.
