School assignment is an important step during the teaching course. At present, learning process of senior students in our country includes two types: class and outside class. Setting and doing the assignment is the main form of outside class learning, thus, the research on school assignment has its theoretic and practical significance.With the development of the economy, senior education becoems popular. At present stage, the policy for senior entrance examination is that, all the students getting higher marks should be enrolled by the key schools meanwhile the ordinary schools have no chances to enroll them. So, it makes sense to re-recognize and analyze the teaching in maths assignment , overcome the abuse in traditional teaching and infiltrate modern teaching ideas in ordinary schools.Teaching without or with little effect makes nothing. Thus, the research on effective teaching is the basis of the curriculum reform. Setting and doing the maths assignment is a key role in maths teaching as well as a main means to senior students in outside class learning. The validity of maths assignment represents the validity of maths teaching.Literature investigation and Questionnaire survey are the main means in this thesis, as well as Interviewing method. Based on the analysis of literature, personal interview and collectivity interview, we get data from learners and analyze them via questionnaire survey, and discovers that the problem lies in that, we should base on the maths teaching theory, put the effective teaching achievement to use, and stand on our feet in the microcosmic area of maths work due to current situation of the senior maths work problem. Some suggestions are to propose according to the assignment designing, correcting and commenting. The validity to increase maths work is also to investigate in order to realize the vested goal. Whether teaching or assignment is effective lies in the views of teachers' teaching, students' learning and how to do the assignment while teachers play a very important role in assignment designing, so in order to renew and perfect the data got, during the questionnaire survey, we have interviewed senior math teachers on maths assignment.The aim of this thesis lies in: Firstly, comprehend actuality and puzzle from ordinary senior math teacher on assignment designing, checking and explaining under new curriculum.Secondly, find out the learning habit, method and attitude of ordinary senior students in the course of fulfilling assignment.Third, analyze students' demand for the assignment content, assignment checking and commenting.The fourth, explore the non-cognitive factors in the studetns through fulfilling the assignment, hoping to get some thereunder for teaching reforming and get a good preparation for advancing the validity of assignment for the purpose of setting a new model for the view of assingment.The conclusion of the thesis is as follow:Firstly, school assignment is a weak step of teaching in math work. there is a big gap between teachers' teaching, students learning, school assignment and the new curriculum ideas. Teaching and research group should fulfill the criterion of assignment of earnest handpicking, earnest explaining, earnest practising and earnest commenting, and also we should fulfill the criterion that drawing in the assignment after handing out, correcting after drawing in, commenting after correcting and putting right if there' s any errors.Secondly, students in ordinary schools have no strong beliefs in learning and low attitudes towards school assignments. Besides investigating teaching method, teachers should also investigate learning methods , boost the ability of teaching students in accordance of their aptitude, analyze the character of the students, inspire the students' interest of learning and get every student to make progress.Thirdly, on the basis of full understanding their students, teacher should design his/her assignment according to their students, and give them proper guide. Check the assignment in time. Estimate students differently and personally.Last, A clear goal, strong pertinency, high stimulation, proper difficulty and multiplicity in form are the main charactors of effective assignment. Strenthening the basic investigation and designing the proper maths assignment according to his own students is one of the effective ways for the ordinary school students, as well as the way to advancing maths teaching effectively.During the course of investigating, many new problems are found, which is the new task to do.
