College students' interpersonal relationship in dormitory is a very important part of college students' interpersonal relationship. The small dormitory is a place where the students take part in the interpersonal contact most frequently and directly. And also it just likes a small surveyors' rod that can judge students' ability to contact with others, the ability to conduct in society and the level of their mental heath. If the psychological atmosphere of the dormitory is not cooperative and harmonious, the students always tend to be depressing, sensitive, self-defensive and hard to cooperate. On the contrast, if the students are living in a dormitory in which the psychological atmosphere is friendly and harmonious, their minds are always happy .They pay more attention to study and accomplishment. They also like to contact with others and like to help others. Therefore, the thorough study of the College students' interpersonal relationship in dormitory has an important and profound significance to perfect the students' personality and promote their mental health.The paper is to study the status quo and characteristics of college students' interpersonal relationship in dormitory, to work out group guidance program for intervention and evaluate the program by the comparisons of the experimental group and the control group and also by the feedback of the group members. After the study of investigation and intervention, the result shows as follows:1. Now about 73.5% of the investigated college students are satisfied with their interpersonal relationship in dormitory, about 19.3% of the students are not satisfied with it, and about 7.2% of the students take no attitudes. The satisfaction on sex, family and speciality has no significant difference .The satisfaction on grade has significant difference. Students in grade four are more satisfied with their interpersonal relationship in dormitory than students in grade two .The difference is significant. 2. There are ten important factors that affect college students' interpersonal relationship in dormitory. For example, harming others' self-esteem by some bad attitudes and behaviors, oral conflict, unusual living habits, selfish, making a call when others are relaxing, having different view-points with other members on some issues, having different ways with other members on how to conduct in society, speaking ironically and meanly, using others' goods without permission, giving no consideration to others' feelings. The ten factors have no significant difference on speciality and family, but have on sex and grade.3. As for the causes of bad relations in dormitory, most students think people who should first be responsible for it is their roommates, next is themselves; the last is roommates and themselves.4. When students are facing most of the problems about interpersonal relationship in dormitory, the coping ways they choose orderly is communication, forgiveness, toleration, introspection and avoidance, during which communication and forgiveness are more common. The coping ways of quarrel and revenge are few.5. The significant difference between the experimental group and the control group on the scales prove that the group guidance intervention program can work.6. The effectiveness of group guidance intervention program is further proved by the feedback of the group members.
