| With the continuous development and progress of the society,the higher education in China is also reforming,and the enrollment of colleges and universities is expanding year by year,most of the students can enter the university and receive higher education.These college students with different personalities and different living habits living together every day will inevitably produce some conflicts,and how to deal with some problems occurring in the dormitory and roommates is also crucial,and it is possible to intensify conflicts if not handled properly,affecting their own and others’ study and life.In recent years,there has always been bad news about tragedies in college dormitories,and the results have been deplorable and shocking.Therefore,all universities and the society should pay more attention to the daily life of college students,relieve the pressure of college students through various means,and improve the mental health of college students.The questionnaire method was used to study the current situation and relationship between dormitory interpersonal relationships and coping styles of college students,and to design a group counseling program for intervention for subjects with high levels of dormitory interpersonal relationship distress and low maturity-type coping styles to provide a psychological intervention program for colleges and universities.This study is divided into two parts.Study one used 300 college students in a university in X city as the research subjects,and used the Dormitory Interpersonal Relationship Diagnostic Scale and Coping Style Questionnaire to study the current situation and relationship between dormitory interpersonal relationship and coping style of college students and the influence of demographic variables such as gender,place of origin,grade,major,and whether they are only child on dormitory interpersonal relationship and coping style by means of questionnaires.Study 2 used a group counseling approach with 20 college students at a university in X city as subjects,randomly divided into an experimental group of 10 and a control group of 10.Members of the experimental group were intervened once a week for a total of 8 interventions,and members of the control group did not apply any intervention.The results of the study were as follows.1.The overall situation of interpersonal relationship distress in college students’ dormitories was good,and the way of coping was more mature.2.There were significant differences in the dormitory interpersonal relationships and coping styles of college students in terms of variables such as grade,gender,place of origin,major,and whether they were only children.3.The total score of dormitory interpersonal relationship showed a very significant negative correlation with the problem-solving dimension and the help-seeking dimension in the coping style,and a very significant positive correlation with the rest of the dimensions.4.Mature coping styles negatively predicted the total dormitory interpersonal relationship score,while immature and mixed coping styles positively predicted the total dormitory interpersonal relationship score.5.Members of the experimental group after the intervention scored significantly better than the control group on the mature coping style,and significantly higher than the control group on the immature coping style,mixed coping style,and total dormitory interpersonal relationship score and the decrease in each dimension. |
