Others, the traditional way of management in colleges and universities has hampered the subjectivity of teachers and deteriorated their healthy development. From this point of view, it is necessary to apply the theory of "Humanistic Management" in teachers' management in colleges and universities and form the concept of caring, cherishing, respecting and developing teachers in order to form harmonious management mechanism. This paper begins with introducing the appearance and foundations of "Humanistic Management" concept and giving the definition and characteristics of this. Then the characteristics and current management situation of teachers in colleges and universities are stated, which indicates the needs and values of using the theory of "Humanistic Management" in college teachers' management. Teachers' management in colleges and universities shouldn't be oppressed by regulations as a result of their intrinsic characteristics. They are required to be managed in a humanistic way. Moreover, there have been some problems in the way of management nowadays, for example: traditional way of management still exists; administration power overweighs the academic power; teachers' development needs are not well satisfied, lack of performance appraisal system and effective promoting system. From this perspective, it becomes quite urgent to apply the theory of "Humanistic Management". After referring to the experience of America, the author tries to construct the humanistic management system in teachers' management in colleges and universities in the last part of this paper. Teachers' management system based on the theory of Humanistic Management is constructed from six aspects: establishing a person-centered teacher management conception; maintaining a balance between administration power and academic power; founding the training system according to teachers' needs; perfecting teachers' performance evaluation system; paying more attention to the psychological contract management of teachers and the inspirit function of non-materials; realizing a win-win situation between universities and teachers.
