Abstract: As the highest form of art work, tragedy excels in revealing the essence of life and analyzing the human aspect in a thorough way when compared with other literary works. Teaching materials of Chinese language education in Secondary school contains a large number of tragic papers (Not limited to the scope of the tragedy theatre works, including those with a tragic conflict and tragedy environment), the tragic works accounts for the important components in the secondary language teaching materials.Using tragic theory from aesthete, this paper summarized the tragic components in the existing secondary language materials (Edition of Ren Jiao), analyzed the possibilities of student emotion nurture utilizing tragic materials, and deeply motivated the students so as to stimulate lofty aesthetic taste, to develop good character, and to cultivate a perfect personality.The full text is divided into six parts.Introduction: Considering the current social reality of the humanity loss and the characteristics of Chinese language teaching, emphasized the necessity of tragic works in secondary language education.Chapter 1: definition and analysis tragedy.Chapter 2: classification of the tragic works in secondary language materials (Edition of Ren Jiao).Chapter 3: the feasibility and significance of aesthetic study of tragic secondary language works.Chapter 4: the principles and methodologies of aesthetic study of tragic secondary language works.Chapter 5: the elements and links of aesthetic study of tragic secondary language works.
