It is a tradition to pay attention to edifying experience while teaching Chinese the language. WE dare say, the Chinese language teaching history is a history of edifying. For itself, language is a world of edifying, meanwhile, the learning procedure is also identified as an edifying experience. That is to say, teachers employ the method by closely connecting images, activities with the contents in hope of combining educating with obtaining. This article is meant to explore language teaching in theory and practice.This article falls into four:Part One the Contents of Edifying TeachingContrary to cognitive teaching and unicity skills teaching, edifying teaching makes use of images and puts more attention to creating teaching situations and atmosphere, putting children in a world of feelings and constructing internal spirit, intending children to obtain knowledge as well as a spiritual experience.Part Two the Characteristics of Edifying TeachingTo begin with the outside features and substantive characteristics, this part deals with four characteristics of edifying teaching. Theory serves practice, which calls up teachers to apply a voluntary and artful method while organizing a class.Part Three the Procedure of Edifying Teaching How to carry out edifying teaching?Firstly, there's a need to identify teachers , students, and the materials; there should be a harmonious and interactive relation between them. Out of theory and practice , this part includes:a. creating a harmonious class atmosphereb. strengthening students reading and comprehendingc. paying close attention to students experiencingPart Four Applying Theory to PracticeHere is a list of my practice while applying edifying teaching, which, of course, is far from mature.Exposed to a new time, a new world, especially an education for all-round development is highly required, the reform of language teaching has become a serious topic which demands our consideration. This article, taking in traditional teaching best features and borrowing valuable skills and experience from other colleagues, attempts to apply the theory to practice of edifying teaching, intending to construct a new language class where there is not only a cultural nutrition but a furnace of edifying natures, calling up souls, constructing feelings and spirits.
