The students studying in secondary vocational academy are at a major turning-point of their whole life. They have to make a choice between work and further study. In order to have a bright future, it is important for them to possess high language competence. However, due to the high development of society, the rapid popularization of computer and the individual properties of secondary vocational academy, these students possess low language expressive competence; also their expression and communication are seriously irregular. Meanwhile the current dissatisfying situation of language teaching does not match with the rapid step of modern society's development. In view of this, the study of language teaching in secondary vocational academy not only has to reform itself, but also has to undertake various challenges from the new era. Thus, under the special background of the computer era, it is urgent to cultivate language competence of the students in secondary vocational academy.Based on the investigation to language application's current situation of the students in secondary vocational academy, this paper mainly analyze the problems occurred during students using language. Also some methods and suggestions are put forward to resolve these problems. The paper analyzes the language phenomenon occurred in vocational academy from the following aspects: to explain the relationship between culture and language as well as the relation between computer language and Chinese teaching based on the times background and the language background; to analyze the campus language's characteristics and its cause through the investigation to current language situation, also to illustrate the author's recognition to current language situation and some ideas towards this; to analyze the current language situation in secondary vocational academy and pose some related questions; to put forward the corresponding methods and suggestions from the aspects of language regulation, teaching concepts and teaching methods, this aims to cultivate the students'written and spoken language competence from the aspects of linguistics and propagation. The paper aims to lead students to treat and use language in correct attitude, so as to enhance their language competence.
