At present, the new course reform has entered classrooms in middle school. It develops continuously and emphasizes on teaching course. With education for all-around development as the main purpose, teaching course tries to provide every student a chance of development. Professor Zhu Yongxin has written in his educational book My Ideal of Education:"Education: for every person, for a person's everything. The ideal of education is for every person----oppidans and countrymen, rich and poor, smart and silly; the ideal of education is for a person's everything----morality and personality, physical and psychology, intelligence and emotion."This"every person", of course, includes"underachievers". However, due to family, social environment, heredity, teacher's teaching and student's formed study mode, it is unavoidable that there are some"underachievers". For a long time, the fundamental education is confused by examination-oriented education in our country. Under this concept, students who have troubles on study cannot truly change themselves, and even worse, more underachievers appear. In reality, the condition of underachievers is not optimistic, who are always"forgotten in the corner". When the society focuses on achievers with big emotion, those underachievers who stay on edge and are forgotten face teacher's denial and family's tears. Therefore, the essay studies on underachievers and analyses the reason of their formation, provides suggestions for their transformation, with the purpose of meeting the demand of constructing harmonious campus and harmonious society, therefore, meeting the demand of"people oriented"and"for every student's development"in new course. Based on the above thoughts, the essay makes analysis with three parts.The first part: the general theory about underachievers. The concept of junior middle school underachievers and the meaning of their transformation.Reviewing on statement of underachievers by educators in every period world wide, it states the education transformation of underachievers from different aspects, while matting for transformation theory of junior middle school underachievers. On the base of others' studies, it points out the deepening area and developing aspect.The second part: main reasons of transformation of junior underachievers. The essay, on the basis of large amount cases and researches, studies underachievers'cause of formation subjectively and objectively. The subjective reason is mainly about students'low internal basis, poor study psychological quality, week study motivation, improper study method, and lack of study habit. The objective reason is on school, family and society.The third part: methods of transformation of junior middle school underachievers. Concretely, the teacher should form same opinions, insist on the principle of transformation of junior middle school underachievers according to new course concept; should put heart into work ;should encourage their enterprising; should teach in accordance of their aptitude; should unite the family and form a whole power. The essay brings forward some simple ideas on the basis of others'thoughts.
