Among the various factors which influnce the achievements of childiren , the social stratum is an important one .Tt has been provern that there is a close relationship between the social stratum and education .Families in different class get different kinds of family cultural capital,which leads to the different opportunities for their children to be educated .Due to the historical discrepancy between urban and rural ,the rural families occupy less culture capital,which affects the descendant' s learning process and also the scholastic achievements .To propel fair education,impel the one-body construction between urban and rural,we should make a deep research into subject fields ,and pay more attention to the unfairness occuring in the process of education.Under the guidance of Bourdieu' family cultural capital theory ,using qualitative research methods ,this paper looks into the inner part of English course which influnces the students's scholastic achievements most ,and mainly observes in which way the village family cultural capital affects the results of English study ,and then put forward effective strategies to promte the lower capital.Firstly, found by means of studying in the fields ,because of lower cultural degree,the parents in the the country has a lower expectation to their children ,and accordingly choose the ordinary school for their children to attend ,the mixed instructional effect between parents and teachers on their children becomes weaken ,due to the different social class they belong to ,parents in the country has fewer chances to communicate with their children's English teacher ,and it has influenced the forms and significance they associate;the shortage of culture makes it difficult to instruct their children ,meanwhile because of the economic factor and no auxiliary English class to attend , children in the country has little opportunity to practice English and get help . Even if they attended the auxiliary English class and extracurricular activities,they usually choose the schools which can only give help in English curriculum,little necessary supplement to their children,all this weaken the support to their achievement in English ;Secondly,cultural condition of one's family,atmosphere of a family,cultivation style and some other factors also play an important part role in efficiency and effect in a latent way , and it mustn't be neglected by us.Finally,village-origin studens in English classroom interact with their English teacher and students less,it occurs to them that they can't accommodate themselves to the new English course and teaching methods, and some appear mental illness ,which bring forth no advantage to their English examination in listening,speaking,reading and writing unlike the children from city.Under such conditions ,in order to promote scholastic achievements we can take measures to promote the village family cultural capital in three aspects of market,education and society .Of course we must take social capital,economy capital,habit and some other facters into consideration at the same time when we take about the influence of cultural capital on English study.
