At the end of the 20th century, economy, culture and technology of Japan had a rapid development. Therefore, Japan needs higher-qualified talents who have creativity, ability to discover problems and solve problems. In addition, students in Japan have an obvious tendency of disgusting mathematics in recent years, which has a bad influence on the later education."Solving Problem", which was put forward by National Conference of Teachers of Mathematics in 1980, is the focus of mathematics education in 1980s. Japan put forward"Subject- studying"under the influence of"Solving Problem", combined with its situation."Subject- studying"is to reflect the thought and methodology of the study in the text books and completes the subject through both the teacher's teaching and students'exploring the teaching content."Subject- studying"in Japan makes the mathematics study to be a"scientific research"or"micro scientific research". Students not only get mathematics knowledge but also improve their abilities to discover and solve problems.In short,"Subject- studying"in mathematics education makes the students learn the thinking way of mathematics through doing a proper"subject". That is to say,"Subject- studying"in mathematics has the characteristics of"Solving Problem".Mathematics education in Japan has improved greatly after carrying out the"Subject- studying". Students become more interested in mathematics and explore problems by themselves. It is worthy for us to learn from their success. We should improve ourselves through learning from others. The topic of this paper is: Suggestion for the Reformation of Mathematics Education in China in the Light of"Subject- studying"in Japanese Mathematics Education.The paper consists of four chapters:Chapter1: Brief introduction to the purpose and significance of the paper.Chapter2: Introduce the background, content, characteristics, purpose, significance and main thought of"Subject- studying"in Japanese Mathematics Education.Chapter3: Introduce the empirical study of"Subject- studying"and bring forward the strategies to solve problems.Chapter4: Through comparing the mathematics education between China and Japan, put forward the inspiration of"Subject- studying"in Japanese Mathematics Education on Chinese Mathematics Education.
