Research On Developing Senior Middle School Students With Art Speciality's Independent Learning Ability

There are some students specializing in art (Hereinafter SSA) in the ordinary secondary schools these years. In according to the feedback from some relevant universities, the quality of education offered by these universities has been lower and lower because the SSA paid more attention to study for the college entrance examination these years. As the teachers in the secondary schools, we begin to think about what and how we should teach them.In recent years, teachers should change their research from the way of teaching to that of studying and transfer the studying way of from only memory to comprehension. Therefore, it becomes more important and urgent for teachers to foster the students'ability to study on their own increasingly.This article focuses on fostering the students'ability to study on their own by reading the documents and doing song experiments. By the research I try to change some disadvantages of traditional art education that devoted more attention to impart the knowledge than train students the correct study attitude, scientific methods of study and capacity of studying by their own.I divide this article into five parts as follows: first part is research methods and significance of this article; second part is to define some conceptions concerned and explain some fundamental theories; third pert is to introduce some tactics of fostering their ability to study art courses by themselves; forth part is some experiments on how to train them in order to raise their ability when the SSA study in the secondary schools; fifth part is to analyze the problems and drawbacks existing in this article and look forward to the further study on these points in the future. We hope that art education enables the students to learn how to use art and combine the art knowledge with scientific, cultural and social knowledge, and thus improve their competence.
