The Study On The Present Growth Situation And Affecting Factors Of Chinese Outstanding Basketball Coaches

This paper, with the Chinese basketball coaches in the training classes of midium and senior leveles and CBA and NBA chief coaches as study object , taking present condition, growth process of the basketball coaches and the impact factors as the study topic, making use of cultural heritage data method, questionnaire survey, interview method, Mathematical Statistics method, analyzes the problems exsiting in the present condition and the growth process of a basketball coach, and provides some worthy reference to the improvement of the overall quality of basketball coaches. Main research results are as follows:( 1 ) Basketball coaches have significantly improved their academic qualifications, The younger they are the higher academic qualifications they have, but comparing with foreign coaches presumably, there is still a certain gap.(2)CBA coaches have a wealth of campaign experience, while 16.7% of NBA coaches have no campaign experience(3)The assistant coaches of CBA coaches experience an average of 1.14 years, and the assistant coaches of NBA coaches, experience 6.8 years; average teaching age limit of outstanding foreign coaches is 51.9 years, while that of CBA coaches is 41.7 years(4)The coach group of NBA club has an average of 5.3 people, and the coach group CBA keeps an average of fewer than three people(5)Basketball coaches growth process includs athletes, assistant coach and coach in three stages and contains the five periods of accumulation, adaptation, creation, stability and stable development .(6)Main subjective factors affecting the growth of basketball coaches contains: positive learning of profession, concerning about international basketball situation and quick awareness training; learning advanced training methods and the successful experiences from predecessorsand colleagues; loving basketball career and showing concern and care for members; improving training and teaching methods; ability to manage and educate athletes; strengthening the continuing education, raising the knowledge level, and improving the knowledge structure; setting strict demands on themselves.(7)Main objective factors affecting the growth of basketball coaches are as follows: the attention and support form the leading department in charge of training; fine physical condition of athletes and adequate reserve forces; constant learning, further education, communication and observation opportunities; the guidance of excellent coaches , the encouragement of models and deeds ; the love and support from members of sports teams ; competition among the sport teams and colleagues; understanding from the family and friends; mutual help and encouragement between colleages; good working condition and environment, and advanced, complete training facilities.
