The development of basketball in the United States has always led the development of basketball in the world,which is closely related to its strong basketball atmosphere and its emphasis on the cultivation of coaches and athletes.They invest a lot of manpower,material resources and policy support in the training,selection,employment and training of coaches,providing good conditions for the development of coaches.With the coach's own rich experience,greatly improve and ensure the overall level of the coach team.In China,although basketball has made great progress in colleges and universities,basketball culture has become an important part of campus culture.However,due to the low level of development of competitive sports in China's universities,and the late start of coach training and talent introduction,the difference of coaches' teaching level is large,and the limitations of coaches' cultural level greatly limit the development of basketball.Therefore,through the research on the growth characteristics of NCAA excellent basketball coaches,the common rules and characteristics of the growth of coaches can be found,hoping to be helpful to the cultivation and improvement of Chinese coaches.Based on the growing experience of basketball coaches as the research direction,with the growth of 80 excellent coaches of the NCAA basketball characteristic as the research object,using the literature material method,mathematical statistics,logic analysis and case analysis method,through previous coaches on growth characteristics,on the basis of research results,analysis of the 80 NCAA excellent coaches experiences growing up,find out their common characteristics,provide certain reference to the cultivation of our coaches.The research results show that:1.Excellent NCAA basketball coaches are generally highly educated,mainly with a bachelor's degree,supplemented by a master's degree.The average age of bachelor's degree is 22.7±3.84 years old,with a small degree of dispersion,which conforms to the development law of knowledge accumulation.2.There are five kinds of working experiences before serving as the head coach of NCAA: directly serving as the assistant coach of NCAA,middle and high school coach,teacher and college coach.Basically be engaged in relevant teaching,coach job,explain to become head coach to need certain practice accumulation.3.NCAA excellent basketball coaches accumulate experience through sports participation and coaching in college,which is the key to success,indicating that American universities attach importance to coach training.4.The growth process of NCAA excellent basketball coaches includes five stages:early sports participation,competitive sports participation,international elite sports participation,assistant coach and head coach;Accumulation period,adaptation period,creation and improvement period,stable period and stable development period.5.88.7% of the coaches had early sports participation,and 11.25% of the coaches had no early sports participation.86.25% of the coaches had rich participation in competitive sports,while 13.75% of the coaches had no participation in competitive sports.The average age is 4.5±2.74 years,with a small degree of dispersion.91.25% of the coaches did not participate in international management sports,and only 8.75% had such experience.It shows that sports experience plays a certain role in their future development,but it is not a necessary factor for success.6.42 coaches have assistant coaching experience,among which 33 coaches have studied under famous coaches.The average teaching years was 3±3.37 years,with a small degree of dispersion.The mean starting age was 24±2.89 years,and the dispersion degree was small.The age of assistant coach is small and the assistant years are not long,which indicates that the high quality of the assistant coach's experience is an important factor to shorten his years as a head coach.7.The average age of becoming NCAA head coach is 29±4.93 years old,which indicates that there is a big difference in the age of becoming NCAA head coach;The average length of coaching is 36.2±5.80 years,which indicates that the average length of coaching varies greatly.This is because the growth cycle of each coach is different,which is related to the level of coaching ability and experience accumulation.8.Professional characteristics of NCAA excellent basketball coaches are as follows:professional coaching team,emphasis on player training and education,clear teaching philosophy and extensive professional knowledge.9.The growth of excellent NCAA basketball coaches is influenced by the external environment,which is mainly reflected in the characteristics of The Times,school culture and family environment.
