The Chinese textbook is composed of by the text-selection system,the knowledge system,the practice system and the reading aid system.As one of the four major systems in textbooks,the reading aid system is a series of supplementary materials to help teachers teaching and improve students' self-study ability.The reading aid system plays an indispensable role in teaching objectives clearly,selection of teaching methods,cultivation of students' self-study ability and promotion of Chinese accomplishment.The MOE version,the Chinese textbook of Primary School with distinct characteristics and significance of the times,is the latest edition of the Chinese textbook compiled by the ministry.In this paper,the reading aid system of the MOE version,the middle stage of Chinese textbook in the primary school,is the research object.It horizontally compares with American primary language teaching materials Wonders.Meanwhile,it vertically compares and discusses with the PEP version.The paper analyzes the differences from different angles to present the characteristics of the reading aid system of the MOE version and find its shortcomings.In order to put forward prospects and suggestions on the development and use the reading aid system.This paper mainly discusses in detail from the following parts:The introduction part mainly narrates the research reasons and significance,the paper domestic and foreign research present situation.It chooses the appropriate research method and research mentality.The part expounds the concept and theoretical basis of constructing the reading aid system of teaching materials.The first part summarizes the compiling background and idea of the MOE version the primary Chinese textbook,the structure of the middle section of the primary Chinese textbook and the characteristics of the selected articles.The paper presents the overall characteristics,clarifies the logical relationship between the textbook and the reading aid system,and shows that the textbook and the reading aid system are the whole and part of the relationship.The second part focuses on the component elements of the reading aid system of the MOE version.The paper makes a deep analysis of four kinds of factors: prompt,annotation,image and data.It explores the compiling features of the reading aid system through compares them with the same reading-assisting factors of the PEP version and Wonders,and sums up their similarities and differences.The third part deeply explores the content of the reading aid system with the PEP version and Wonders in the MOE version,including language expression,visual color,layout design.Among them,the language expression is divided into three kinds: the statement type,the discussion type and the question type.The student-oriented text content promotes the student to launch the independent study;The layout design is explained in terms of the clarity and accuracy of the typography arrangement,the symmetry and rationality of the folio and the page design,and the balance and delicacy of the binding and layout design.The three aspects embody the characteristics of the reading aid system in the MOE version.The fourth part is enlightenment and suggestions from the reading aid system in the MOE version.This paper gives some inspirations to the reading aid system of Chinese textbooks for primary schools,and puts forward some suggestions to optimize the reading aid system from the aspects of compiling structure,content and presentation.Finally,practical suggestions are made for teachers and students to realize the effectiveness of the reading aid system.
