The Research And Practice Of Inquiry Learning And Innovative Ability In Long-distance Open Education

The objective of this research item is to change the traditional teaching patterns in long-distance open education and provide the students with independent study ideas and methods through exploring the patterns of teaching and learning. We mainly use experiment, questionnaire and interview in our research. The emphasis of this research is on the approaches and methods of practical problems in inquiry learning. We focus on exploring methods of teaching and learning and improving the learners'comprehensive qualities. By adopting new methods of teaching and learning, and the new form of organising, we find that inquiry learning through internet is a kind of feasible teaching form. The result of this research shows that it is in conformity with long-distance open education teaching principles and adapt to the adults'characteristics.
