The gender difference is one of the human's natural differences. While in the traditional chemistry class we usually overlook this difference, which has an effect on our teaching aims. The present thesis tries to analyze the differences in psychology and physiology between boys and girls and focus mainly on their effect on chemistry study. It also attentively discusses the research in this field theoretically and practically.The first part, the paper puts forward the conception of the gender difference, analyzes the current situation of the education and emphasizes the significance of the research topic.The second part, the paper discusses about the main differences in physiology and psychology between the boys and girls, which consist of sex hormone, the heritage gene, the structure of their nerves, and their physiologic and intelligence difference, in addition to their ability of sense and memory, their way of thinking and imagination and so on. The research finds that the boys and girls have the same intelligent and ability on the whole, but there are separate characteristic in intelligent form. The main difference between them is what we called the psychological qualities.The third the part, the paper discusses the different attitudes towards the chemistry study between the boys and girls, and towards the difficult points and the teaching difficult points. It also refers to their different ways to solve problems, different behaviors and their different attributions to their study.The fourth part, the paper provides some new teaching methods and new teaching models, which suggests that teaching should consider the students' different gender, different psychology and their different attitudes towards their study. Better teaching methods based on these differences will help the students master what they learned in class. At the same time the paper also mentions using map teaching method concept, and building a homonym and active class.In the end, it also discussed the possibility of dual characters in chemistry class.
