Physical Education is a significant component of school teaching which can help students keep fit and get into the habit of having sports all in their lives. Thus the healthy level of the whole population can be promoted. PE class is a basic way to reach the goal, both teaching and learning included. It has a great effect on the development of overall education.The research covers nine junior middle-schools in the urban area of Ezhou,we learn the current situation of physical education and the overall quality of PE teachers in Ezhou through collecting document, interview's and question papers, Besides we get to know how the headmasters stress PE class and how they reform PE teaching. We also find out some problems of PE and how they come into being. In this article, the situation is analyzed thoroughly and it is made clear how the physical education of Ezhou developed.The results show that in the new curriculum reform inplementation process,"health first" follow the quiding idelogy, teaching students to attach greater importance to the dominant position, pay attention to the physical and mental health of students, the curriculum change in the diversity and expand the physical education space and attract students studying sports enthusiasm. But at the same time there are still venues,lack of equipment, classes too large for such issues,which are affecting and retricting the E zhou city school physical education an important factor in development.Based on the direct data, we study and analyze the situation from all aspect, and try to find out the real causes of the problems .that affect physical education. We make some suggestions hoping that the physical education in Ezhou can be improved great, and that we can set up a theory to guide the teaching reform.
