Along with the development of modern society, the science and technology changes with each new day, the education idea renews gradually and the new course reformation deepens day by day, but the practice research and the application level of the geography teaching medias actually fall behind the time development and request. Therefore, we have essentially to research the reason about the phenomenon, and find the problems' solution. The paper mainly contains the following several parts:In the first part, I have done some cases' study on the present application of the geography teaching medias and divided the cases which used improper into three types in the paper: some teachers completely neglect the choices of the different teaching medias about some knowledge, and some bodies considers not completely when they choice the teaching medias, somebody conservative when they already have an optimization plan of teaching medias. This paper has analyzed the reason of these cases, and has pointed out the solution's direction.In the second part, according to these phenomena that some geography teachers' understanding is inadequate and their theoretical level is weak about the uses of the geography teaching medias, the paper introduces the geography teaching medias' characteristic in detail which decide how to choose and use the teaching medias: the present strength, the reproduction strength, the transmission strength, the controllability, the participation efficiently, and introduces system theory, geography education theory, psychology theory, mass communication theory to clarify how to choice and integrate the geography teaching medias.In the third part, based on these theories, the paper puts forward six principles for how to integrate the geography teaching medias: the principle of controlling the goals, the principle of correspond with the content, the principle of fit teaching object, the scientific principle, the heuristic principle and the useful principle; and bring forth four strategies: objective strategy, subjectival strategy, leading strategy, modernity strategy. Then we begin to do study on these principles and strategy's instructions.According to the research, the paper divides the geographical course content into three major parts to carry on separately the study: the physical geography, the human geography and the regional geography. In the experiment, I made a comparison between the experimental class which was used the optimal and integrated geography teaching media and the control class which was given lessons with the normal way. Then, I observed and compared the experiment process and result of the two classes, then received some conclusions: the majorized geography teaching media can comprehensively improve the students' quality; Consider the time and space, whole and parts, economic and other factors when we choose geography teaching media; teaching objective decide the choice of geography teaching media strategy;the media's performance and the teaching content must be suited, and so on.Finally, I sum up success and failure of the experience and point out the research the the main deficiency of the experience and the direction in the future.
