With the development of new curriculum reform and the implementation of education for all-around development, the idea of new curriculum reform has run deeply into geography teaching. The idea of the new curriculum reform sets up the value orientation on the basis of students, an idea of taking responsibility of students and guides the students to envolve in classes actively and vividly, and also shows rhe new relationship of teachers and students-"Students are main parts and teachers are at dominant position."Modern information technology has its own active, iconical, intuitive and interactive feature. Using modern information technology which can provides us good learning environment with independent exploration, multiple alternation, cooperation study and resource sharing, we can improve the students'enthusiasm ,and in this way their innovation idea and practical ability can be trained effectively. Thus it can be seen that the curriculum conformity of modern information technology and geography teaching is a effective way to change traditional geography teaching structure, achieve the idea of the new curriculum reform of geography and implement the development of talented person. And it's also the fashion and tendency of the present International education reform. This article analyzes the three essential factors of teaching and every link of geography teaching to see whether they have the feasibility of the curriculum conformity of modern information technology, and also mentions three practical educational model.
