The reform and development of teachers'education gets widely concerned with knowledge of teachers'specialization and advancement of Elementary-education curriculum reform. The significance of teachers'pre-vocational school education as a main channel of training teachers in the teachers'education shouldn't be ignored which provides teachers with preparation for vocational education. At present, the research findings in this area in our country are fruitful, and the researchers make study from the point of view of pedagogy theory. However, these studies can't be analyzed from teachers'career development. Under such circumstances as, the author tries to expound pre-vocational school education from the theory and practice of career in order to know the characteristics of teachers'career development. The research's originality is that the reform and development of teachers'pre-vocational school education will draw near to the teachers'process.The author expresses theoretical foundation of teachers'career development. The theory embodies three characteristics including phase and continuity and unity. At least teachers'career development is integration of the pre-vocational period and post-vocational period. So to speak, training teachers is not transient but long and complex. The pre-vocational school education is an independent stage in the teachers'career development. The process is clearly different from post-vocational period. It has its own traits and tasks. It is a preparatory period of teachers'role and a key process of teachers'specialization, and a golden time of career planning. And the two stages are related in the development of teachers'career. The teachers'pre-vocational school education lays a foundation for teachers'post-vocational education.The teachers'pre-vocational school education is so transient that it impossible to impart knowledge and skill to teachers in long life. So, the pre-vocational school education focuses on the sustainable development from long-term vocational needs, as well as the development of the basic vocational quality. From the point of view, the author subdivides the task of teachers'pre-vocational school education into basic task and development task. The basic task of teachers'pre-vocational school education consists of vocational ethics, professional knowledge and teaching ability, while the development task is divided into three parts including psychological quality, educational scientific-research ability and learning ability.The author makes questionnaire and interview, and then observes that the teachers'pre-vocational school education has made great progresses, but it also faces a lot of problems. First, moral education lags behind the requirement of teachers'career development. That is to say, the college pays little attention to the normal students'vocational moral education, and ignores the quality of professional psychology and its training. Second, curriculum planning doesn't benefit the development of normal students'professional knowledge. For example, the public basic course doesn't work, the special subject course takes large proportion, and the specialized education course doesn't reach a certain degree. Third, the development of vocational ability lacks enough environment condition, including the quality and quantity of teaching probation and teaching practice is inadequate, and the campus cultural activity doesn't satisfy normal students'needs for developing quality.Judging from this, to reform teachers'pre-vocational school education is imperative. Inspired by the theory of teachers'career development, the author puts forward three proposals for improving teachers'pre-vocational school education from the characteristics of teachers'career. First, the career planning education must be emphasized in order to strengthen normal students'aptitude for designing life. It makes normal students clear the direction of future vocation and formulate practicable career planning. Second, creating surroundings for developing normal students'basic vocational quality needs to stress the function of moral education in developing vocational character, complete the curriculum structure, and establish the cooperative with primary school. The cooperative education can make normal students get into contact with real teaching environment. Finally, it is necessary to strengthen the ideology of teachers'occupation lifelong development and help normal students learn how to learn. The aim is to make them become the lifelong self-educators.
