It is the era of globalization and fiercely intersection of multi-culture, which makes our world colorful meanwhile challengeable. The main narrative style of the world pattern from 19th century is"Nation-state". China joined the former pattern from forced role to conscious one since the middle of 19th century, which promotes its urgent and deeply worried moods that possibly ruin or weaken China itself subjectivity and autonomy under the circumstance of lacking self-consciousness, reflection and action. Based on this kind of cognition, the author reviews the practical condition of Chinese curriculum field, furthermore puts forward self-consciousness of curriculum. However, the research on this point in China is very weak.What is self-consciousness of curriculum? It refers to three concepts: curriculum, self-consciousness, and self-consciousness of curriculum. The curriculum is not the simple courses and concrete reference of curriculum system but a metaphysical abstractor that is a kind of"uncertain-interpretation"on the signified context. Self-consciousness is not only the superficial sense but the reasonable action of the subject. Therefore, self-consciousness of curriculum is the reasonable recognition based on mixed curriculum aims and curriculum to form the curriculum practice. The purpose of it is to enhance the local nonstop self-development ability under the globalization, to improve the reflection and creation ability in curriculum practice for obtaining new situation, lead the new era, finally to achieve the independence.The causes on the deletion of self-consciousness of curriculum, which is presented from following three aspects: the first one lies in system that signifies the pressing to the production of self-consciousness in the light of curriculum management system ranked by means of power; the second aspect indicates Chinese culture basically is a static type which constrains the production of self-consciousness and action without advocating reform, and the people who lead in this way usually maintain the achievements of predecessors; the last point pays special attention to material that regards human behaves in a possible range, and the shortage of materials is unbeneficial to the spread of conscious action from the subjects of curriculum.The components of self-consciousness of curriculum include self-awareness of curriculum (which refers to the self-awareness of curriculum basis, mission, history and system), curriculum-in-itself and curriculum-for-itself (which states the tension of unity of opposites from they both is the motivation to promote curriculum reform. The former is the realistic condition of the latter and which is the tended reform of the former), self-examination of curriculum and independence of curriculum (the former means reflection of curriculum, and the latter means the curriculum becomes a self-organizing unity of self-consciousness on curriculum, curriculum-in-itself, curriculum-for-itself and self-examination of curriculum). Independence of curriculum is the embodiment of consciousness, action and reflection.After the analysis of deletion of self-consciousness of curriculum and its constitute, the author discusses the achievement of self-consciousness on curriculum from the following three aspects: to provide loosen system can help subjects of curriculum communicate, permit the subjects to do necessary practice, and tolerate the possible failure; to guarantee the material, to appeal government to strengthen the financial input into curriculum field and education, furthermore to allow the investment of folk capital; seeking for cultural creation, cultivating new curriculum culture through facing the practical curriculum situation, and bravely initiating new curriculum culture under the collision among curriculum culture home and abroad.
