Ever since China resumes the academic degree, it has made significant progress in the development of postgraduate education. There are currently 1.5 million graduates with postgraduate education, and 1.1 million postgraduate students in school, which second in the world in terms of size. The problem now is to transform China from a nation that produces a large number of graduates to a nation to produces quality graduates; the key to this problem lies in improving the quality of education system, and that is the motivation of this paper.The graduate student quality promotion may carry on from many aspects, but the academic consciousness is the graduate student quality promotion core, had designated for this article graduate student's academic consciousness takes the research the fundamental point and the basic clue.This research thought graduate student academic consciousness is constitutes by four categories, namely question consciousness, scientific theory or principle consciousness, method consciousness and standard consciousness. Between these four categories both is mutually independent, and makes unites, constitutes the graduate student together study the arteries. If in develops from above four aspects to graduate student's raise, then not only may promote graduate student's academic consciousness, promotes the graduate student disciplinary power formation, moreover also followed the graduate student to raise the process the basic logic, namely obtained from the question, builds the rationale, the method of formation skill, the casting standard moral character.In order to thoroughly studies this question, this research designed "the graduate student academic consciousness to adjust the questioning volume", has carried on the real diagnosis investigation to the graduate student academic consciousness present situation and the education quality present situation, has carried on the comparative external analysis, 680 graduate students has carried on the questionnaire survey to 21 different types universities in, has carried on the description statistical analysis regarding the investigation result, including has carried on the frequency analysis to the manner question, regarding the different school, the different sex, the different grade, the different employment history student's mean value difference significance the examination, has drawn some basic conclusions, these conclusions had confirmation original supposition, Some have overthrown the original supposition.
