With the development of the modern scientific technology, we're facing new challenges in education. The key purpose of the quality-oriental education is to develop the cultural and scientific literacy of the students. The chemistry teaching will not only make students grasp the basic knowledge of chemistry, but fully develop their moral character, emotion, learning ability, determination, etc. Chemistry is based on experiments. Experimental teaching is a good way to help students consolidate the basic concepts and principles.This thesis, centering on the quality-oriented education, points to the increase and development of the students'scientific literacy. There exists the clear definition for the meanings of the scientific literacy and the education of it; analyses the present conditions and major misunderstandings of the experimental teaching; highlights the importance of the experimental teaching; clarifies the strategies in experimental teaching, such as fully elaborating functions of different experiments, transforming the teaching ideas, altering teaching action, actively constructing the pleasant environment, changing the value of the quality evaluation and so on; and sums up the principles of the experimental teaching.
